Abigail Spanberger and Elaine Luria Deliver Huge Win for Virginia with Historic Infrastructure Package
Once-in-a-generation investment will rebuild Virginia’s infrastructure and create 2 million good-paying jobs annually

Yesterday, Rep. Abigail Spanberger and Elaine Luria delivered a huge win for Virginians by passing President Biden and House Democrats’ wildly popular infrastructure package. The legislation makes game-changing investments in clean infrastructure, significantly expands broadband access, strengthens our climate resilience, and provides millions of Americans with good-paying union jobs.

Thanks to Spanberger and Luria, workers and families across Virginia can expect a once-in-a-generation investment to fix their crumbling roads and bridges and rebuild their communities to be even stronger.

Spanberger, Luria, and House Democrats worked to ensure Congress passed this legislation that will invest not only in our roads, but in the American people, creating thousands of good-paying union jobs in their backyard and growing the economy in a way that works better for everyone.

“Yesterday, Abigail Spanberger and Elaine Luria proved once again that they would keep their promise to deliver meaningful wins for Virginia,” said DCCC Spokesperson Elena Kuhn. “From jobs, to broadband, to clean water, and better roads, workers and families across the commonwealth will feel the effects of this historic investment for years to come, and voters can be proud of the historic work Spanberger and Luria accomplished to improve the lives of Virginians.”
