New Poll in VA-10: Foust Closes to Within 2 Points (“margin of error”)

Just in from the Democratic House Majority PAC, so make of this what you will. Also, it would be good to have another poll by this same outfit, perhaps taken a few weeks ago, to compare it against. Still, I’ll take “margin of error” at this point in a “purple” district in a challenging cycle…certainly beats the alternative! 🙂

UPDATE: I’m hearing that Foust was down 12 points in early summer, then down 7 points a month ago. If my source(s) are accurate, that would be excellent news, as it would appear Foust is closing the gap significantly as we enter the home stretch of this race.

Washington, D.C. – House Majority PAC today announced the release of the following poll in VA-10:

Head-to-head: Comstock 41, Foust 39

Sample size: 400

Type: Live caller interviews

Margin of error: +/-4.9%

Date: September 24-28

Pollster: Donna Victoria, Victoria Research

“As voters learn more about Barbara Comstock’s extreme record and agenda, they are clearly moving to John Foust,” said Matt Thornton, Communications Director for House Majority PAC.  “This is a highly competitive race that Democrats are well-positioned to pick up in November.”
