ARLINGTON, VA – Arlington County Board Vice Chair Christian Dorsey announced his endorsement of Democratic nominee Matt de Ferranti for the Arlington County Board today, joining County Board Chair Katie Cristol and County Board member Erik Gutshall in support of de Ferranti.
“I am proud to endorse Matt de Ferranti for County Board because my experience on the Board has shown me exactly what we need to take Arlington to the next level,” said Dorsey. “When I first ran for Arlington County Board, I built my platform around the idea that our community needed more than the ‘right’ votes by its Board Members, it needed the right vision.”
“Arlington is a wealthy, successful, growing county, but many of our neighbors are being left behind as we move forward in the 21st century economy,” added Dorsey. “To ensure that Arlingtonians rise together, the Board needs bold, creative leadership that I am confident that Matt can provide. He has a progressive, proactive platform that will infuse the Board with the innovation ideas Arlington residents deserve.”
Christian Dorsey was elected to the Arlington County Board in 2015 and currently serves as Vice-Chair. He represents Arlington on the board of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) as a voting member. Dorsey is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG), and a member of the Transportation Planning Board (TPB).
