Virginia Del. Chris Hurst Urges Immediate “Stop Work Order…Until Pending Litigation Can Be Resolved” on Mountain Valley Pipeline

Good for Del. Chris Hurst (D-HD12) for writing this letter to Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) director David Paylor to request an immediate “stop work order…until pending litigation can be resolved” on the Mountain Valley Pipeline. Del. Hurst cites “more than 300 violations between June and mid-November 2018,” including “improper erosion control and stormwater management,” among other problems. Now, we’ll see how Paylor et al respond. Personally, I’m not optimistic when it comes to Paylor or Virginia DEQ, but we’ll see…
