I swear I am not making this up.

On a day when E.J. Dionne called the Tea Party movement “the populism of the privileged,” we learn Comcast is partnering with the Tea Party Express as it launches a new cable channel called RightNetwork. Its first spokesman? Kelsey Grammer, who’s made a career out of portraying the opera-listening, wine-drinking, Harvard-attending, art-collecting, condo-dwelling, elitist, pompous snob, Dr. Frasier Crane:

  • Elaine in Roanoke

I already have to click past a right wing channel that is pretending to be a local information channel on my Comcast in Roanoke. So now there is supposed to be another? That decides the situation for me. It’s Dish Network for me now. This is ridiculous. I would be forced to promote political views against those I hold, by my payment of my cable bill. NO!

You do not try to counter his arguments, you simply have a problem with the person saying them. Even worse, you have a problem with the person he plays on TV!

Can you get more ridiculous than that?

That’s funny, brought to you by a hyper partisan, a man launching a partisan network?  Another piece of work, brought you by the Teabagger party.
