  • Video: I agree with Sanders on a LOT of this. First, we definitely need to rethink the role of “superdelegates,” including whether they should be picking a candidate before a single Democrat has cast a ballot. Second, there’s no question that the the Democratic Party needs to “stand up for the middle class and working class of this country,” has “got to be prepared to take on Wall Street and the greed of corporate America, the outrageous level of income and wealth inequality in this country.” Third, I’m all for replacing DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz…she simply hasn’t done what’s necessary, nor do I believe she has what it takes to do what’s necessary, to lead our party.

Where I don’t agree with Sanders is that the candidate with the most pledged delegates and VOTES should not be the Democratic Party nominee. Again, the “superdelegates” system needs to be seriously reformed, but that’s not an excuse for overriding the will of Democratic voters, and Hillary Clinton has received about 3 million more of those votes than Sanders has — just a fact, with all due respect to Sen. Sanders.

  • How nasty, crazily hyperpartisan is Virginia Sen. Mark Obenshain (R), their 2013 nominee for AG? Try this! Seriously, Obenshain is attacking Gov. McAuliffe because he named his new dog “Guinness.” WTF???

  • Video: Bernie Sanders says “Donald Trump is a disaster…and I will do everything that I can, whether it’s a candidate or not, to see that he is defeated.”

  • Video: Hillary Clinton on MTP this morning says ” I think that Senator Sanders has every right to finish off his campaign however he chooses. I do think there will then be the obvious need for us to unify the party. I faced the same challenge in 2008. I will certainly do my part, reaching out to Senator Sanders, reaching out to his supporters. And I expect him to do his. And he said about a week ago, he was going to spend seven days a week trying to defeat Donald Trump. And I believe that’s the case.”
