The Redskins Youth Fitness Zone is part of the Redskins and pharmaceutical company’s commitment to Play 60, which encourages students to be active 60 minutes a day to combat obesity, officials said.
I can just hear Sarah Palin now:
Take [Bob McDonnell’s] anti-obesity thing that [he] is on. [He] is on this kick, right. What [he] is telling us is [he] cannot trust parents to make decisions for their own children, for their own families in what we should eat. And I know I’m going to be again criticized for bringing this up, but instead of a government thinking that they need to take over and make decisions for us according to some politician or politician’s wife priorities, just leave us alone, get off our back, and allow us as individuals to exercise our own God-given rights to make our own decisions and then our country gets back on the right track.
But of course, Sarah Palin won’t attack Bob McDonnell for doing almost the exact same thing Michelle Obama is doing with her “Let’s Move” campaign. Because, you see, the latter is government/nanny-state heinousness, while the former is quite different because…oh forget it.
