As we all know, Brian Moran, Chair of the DPVA, works full-time — probably overtime — for a lobbying group that represents for-profit colleges. His hobby, when he gets around to it, is to pay a bit of attention to the DPVA.
Now comes this from the NYTimes:
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/08…
The Department of Justice and four states on Monday filed a multibillion-dollar fraud suit against the Education Management Corporation, the nation’s second-largest for-profit college company, charging that it was not eligible for the $11 billion in state and federal financial aid it had received from July 2003 through June 2011.
Guess we won’t see any more of Moran around the DPVA while he figures out how to spin this one.
Someone tell me again why DPVA elected an occasional chairman when VA is in real danger of going full-bore red state?
