On Sept. 24th, the Sierra Club will join 350.org, thousands of activists and millions of people around the globe in “Moving Planet” events. Moving Planet is a worldwide rally to demand solutions to the climate crisis – a single day to move away from fossil fuels.

Come on a bike, on skates, on a board, or just on foot.  Come with your friends, your family, your neighbors and your co-workers.  Come be part of something huge.  It’s time to get moving on the climate crisis.

Join us at one of four Virginia events. In Alexandria, we’ll celebrate our win over coal and the retirement of the GenOn plant. In Richmond, we’ll rally to tell Dominion Virginia Power to get wind power going.  In Virginia Beach, we’ll rally for wind turbines not oil rigs off our Virginia coast.  And in Fairfax/Vienna, we’ll rally for transportation choices that move us beyond oil.
