Yesterday, Senator Janet Howell (D-Fairfax) appeared on PoliticsNation with Reverend Al Sharpton on MSNBC. She discussed the wave of divisive Republican legislation moving at a blistering pace through the General Assembly.

Over just the last month, Republicans have put forward hundreds of mean-spirited bills — including bills that limit a woman’s right to choose, discriminate against LGBT Virginians, and make it harder for minorities to vote. As Senator Howell said last night, if Republicans get their way, it will be easier to buy a gun in Virginia than to vote.
