More videos are on the “flip.” Also, click here to learn how the Affordable Care Act benefits you. For instance:
20.4 million women with private insurance now can get free preventive care. That means they can get life-saving cancer screenings like mammograms and can have their contraception covered without paying a co-pay or deductible. They’re living healthier lives while saving money at the same time.
Now, just imagine how good this law could have been if it had been more progressive than what it ended up as, which is “Romneycare” Part III (or the Republican alternative to “Hillarycare” if you want to look at it that way). A robust public option, for instance, would have made this a home run instead of a double. Still, as you can see from these videos, the Affordable Care Act is doing some great things for people, and that will only expand as time goes by. So…let’s keep the existing law, then expand it in a second Obama term (assuming we take back the House of Representatives, of course – that’s crucial to ANY progress over the next 4 1/2 years).
