A new ad by President Obama’s reelection campaign calls out Republicans in Congress for having “refused to act on many of the common-sense ideas that would help our country continue to recover from the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.” It issues a challenge to them, one I’m confident the party-over-country Republican’ts won’t accept. Namely: “We can’t afford for them to continue playing politics. It’s time to act.” Unfortunately, Congressional Republicans are all about NOT acting, about “my way or the highway,” about ideological extremism over common sense. Who suffers because of the Eric Can’tors of the world? You, me, and most everyone else we know. Thanks a lot, Republican’ts!
