Mitt Romney visited a Wawa this week and pronounced it “amazing” that you can punch in your sandwich order on a touch screen. (I’m sure Romneybot’s circuitry has not been this overloaded since his close encounter with a donut last week.) Has Romney not been to a supermarket checkout in the last few years? To an airport or train station where he had to do the self-check in? And let’s face it, are these self-serve stations really a quantum leap in customer service, or are they about letting the business save money by allowing them to hire fewer workers? Maybe not the best technology for Mr. I Like Being Able To Fire People to embrace.
