Bob McDonnell Appoints Carly “Demon Sheep” Fiorina to JMU Board of Visitors

I’m not kidding. Gov. McDonnell this afternoon announced the appointment of “Carly Fiorina of Lorton, Chairman of Carly Fiorina Enterprises and Former Chairman and CEO of Hewlett-Packard” to the James Madison University Board of Visitors. As Del. Scott Surovell tweeted, “‘Carly Fiorina of Lorton’ now on JMU Bd of Visitors? She just ran for CA Gov & didn’t know she was VA resident. Interesting move by Gov.” Yeah, uh, “interesting” is one word for it. LOL

P.S. What is it with McDonnell and horrible picks for Virginia universities’ boards of governors?!?  First he reappoints Helen Dragas, who brought UVA to what she herself called a “near-death experience” thanks to her own irresponsible and poorly-thought-out actions. Now, he appoints a wealthy right-wing Republican and recent candidate for governor of California, infamous for her bizarre “demon sheep” video, to the JMU Board of Visitors. Yeah, this should work out really well, I’m sure. (rolls eyes)
