“Today marks the 48th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act. On this historic anniversary we pay respect to our forefathers who sacrificed so much to bring equal rights for women and minorities under the law. This landmark reform has helped Virginia families for almost 50 years overcome discrimination and segregation in schools, communities, and work places. Now it is up to us to protect these rights and continue improving workplace and educational equality for woman and minorities.”
