Home Energy Makeover Contest Opens in NOVA

Anyone who is a resident in Northern Virginia is eligible to enter The Home Energy Makeover Contest in Northern Virginia, for a chance at winning a $10,000 home energy makeover!  There are many other prizes as well, including a $5000 and $3000 makeover, and 6 comprehensive in-home assessments (valued at $500).  It’s easy for NOVA residents to enter the contest, simply go to www.NovaEnergyContest.com.

Here are the details: the contest runs from August 1st through September 21.  At that time, ten (10) finalists will be selected based on their online profiles. Winners will be selected from the finalists’ pool for three prizes: a $10,000 grand prize makeover, a $5,000 second prize makeover, and a $3,000 third prize makeover.  The contest is being managed by a non-profit organization named Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP), and is generously supported by the Dominion Foundation as well as several local sponsors listed below.

Also, other prizes will be given away as the contest progresses.  Beginning August 10th, one person will be chosen every week to win a free in-home assessment, valued at $500!  Thus, the earlier you enter, the more chances you have to win!  Again to enter, go to www.NovaEnergyContest.com.

Lastly, as part of The Home Energy Makeover Contest, LEAP is also offering the Non-Profit Challenge, which gives a cash donation of $1500 to the three local non-profits with the most entrants. To enter your favorite non-profit into the challenge, email info@leap-va.org.
