“POSITIVE” NEW KAINE AD OFFERS “PLANS FOR ECONOMIC IMPROVEMENT AND JOB GROWTH”
Richmond, VA – Today, Tim Kaine launched his third television ad, “Tomorrow,” highlighting his plans to strengthen the economy and help businesses hire and expand as a U.S. Senator. The positive, thirty second spot features Tim Kaine making his case directly to Virginia voters and sharing his ideas for investing in small businesses, rebuilding infrastructure, and reforming the nation's education and job training programs. Today's announcement follows the launch of two ads last week touting Kaine'sstrong record of fiscal responsibility and a Spanish-language ad highlighting how Kaine's commitment to faith and family have guided his time in public office. Below is initial coverage of “Tomorrow”:
Roanoke Times: Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Tim Kaine is unveiling another new television ad today, highlighting the broad outlines of his economic plan. The 30-second spot, called “Tomorrow,” promotes the former governor’s ideas for investing in business, infrastructure, education and workforce training.
Washington Post: Timothy M. Kaine (D) is on the air with another positive ad, showcasing his emphasis on education and worker training. Kaine — who faces fellow former governor George Allen (R) in the race to succeed retiring Sen. James Webb (D) —launched the first ad of his campaign last week, also a positive spot, featuring him speaking directly to the camera about his record as governor. Kaine also is up with Spanish-language radio and TV ads and a radio spot featuring his wife, Anne Holton. The latest commercial, “Tomorrow,” focuses on Kaine’s economic plan.
Richmond Times-Dispatch: Democratic U.S. Senate candidate is out with a new TV ad, “Tomorrow,” that shares his economic message with a wider audience. Like Kaine’s other ads thus far, the 30-second spot is positive, making no mention of his GOP opponent, George Allen.
Virginian-Pilot: Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Tim Kaine went on the air with a new TV ad todaytouting his plan to boost the nation’s sluggish economy by investing in small businesses, transportation, education and training. The Kaine campaign said the Democrat’s economic plan builds on strategies he pursued as governor from 2006 to 2010, when he eased terms for small-business loans, boosted state spending with women- and minority-owned businesses, opened regional workforce development centers and technical academies, and signed a $1.4 billion higher-education bond package.
Fredericksburg Free Lance-Star: Democratic Senate candidate Tim Kaine is launching a new TV ad today, this one focusing on his plans for economic improvement and job growth. In it, Kaine says he has talked a lot on the campaign trail to small business owners, and believes jobs can be created by investing in those small businesses and infrastructure…This is Kaine’s third ad, his second in English; earlier this week the campaign launched ads in which Kaine, who was once a missionary in Honduras, speaks in Spanish.
