Remember Willard’s comment that “Syria is Iran’s access to the sea?”

Well, sorry, Willard — not exactly.  Because:

1.  Iran does not share a border with Syria.

2.  Iran borders the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, which opens into the Indian Ocean.
