No Way to Recount Touch Voting Machines

    Lame duck Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli disgraced the Attorney General’s Office with his partisan opinions concerning the provisional vote procedures in Fairfax County. Note paragraph 7 in this Slate.com article by Richard Hasen, where he points out that in touch screen voting machines (DREs) there is no way to conduct a recount.

    How can we be sure these machines count votes accurately? Answer: We can’t.
