Alexandria, Va. – Senator Adam Ebbin – a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in Virginia’s 8th Congressional District – today received the endorsement of Senator Chap Petersen (D-Fairfax). Ebbin is seeking the Democratic nomination, which will be decided in the June 10th primary.

“What separates Adam?  In my opinion, it is his ability to put aside the nefarious effect of money on public policy. Adam is not afraid to vote against the large interests, even if it means foregoing a large check in his next race. Nor is he afraid to ‘rock the boat,’ when it needs a good shake,” said Petersen, “He’s a hard worker and he sticks to his principles.  I know he will do a great job as a United States Congressman.”

Senator J. Chapman “Chap” Petersen represents Virginia’s 34th Senate district, located in Fairfax City and parts of Fairfax County. A two term Senator and former Delegate; Sen. Petersen is a longtime fighter for public education and the environment.

“I am honored to be endorsed by Chap,” said Ebbin. “Senator Petersen is a effective legislator, a tenacious debater, and a great ally. His support means a great deal to me.”

Petersen’s support adds to a growing list of Ebbin endorsers including former Senator and Alexandria Mayor Patsy Ticer and Delegate Mark Sickles (D-Fairfax).
