On Thursday, the Arab American Democratic Caucus of Virginia voted to endorse Patrick Hope for Congress after careful consideration of all candidates running in Virginia’s 8th District.
In their endorsement, the Arab American Democratic Caucus of Virginia said their support was partly based off of Hope’s record of “distinction… with much care for the underprivileged and the poor.” The Caucus also identified Hope’s steadfast support for “the human and civil rights of all Virginians” and his willingness to stand up to “bigotry and narrow-mindedness.”
“I welcome the Arab American Democratic Caucus of Virginia to my campaign,” Hope said. “The caucus had clearly done a lot of research into all of the candidates and asked tough questions. I appreciated the opportunity to share my views with them- but also to listen and to learn. I am so gratified that the caucus decided to join our campaign and I look forward to working together for many years to come.”
The Arab American Democratic Caucus of Virginia is a non-sectarian Democratic organization representing the communal interests, civil rights and human rights of the Arab American community of Virginia.
