From the DPVA:
It has now been 96 hours since it became clear that the RSLC was forced to conduct an internal investigation into a “risky campaign finance scheme” while Ed Gillespie chaired the group. During that time, it appeared that the RSLC was involved in a plan to move hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Poarch Creek Indian Tribe through the RSLC to the Alabama Republican Party from January 2009 to March 2011. Ed attempted to downplay his role with the RSLC, but the fact is that during his tenure from 2010-2014 he received $654,000 in payments from the group.
He has yet to clarify what his role was or answer basic questions about the scheme in Alabama.
A new DPVA video, “Empire” highlights Ed Gillespie’s “empire” of dark moneyed-interests trying to work around campaign finance laws.
