Rand Paul has long been an extremist, with innumerable examples to cite. For instance, see Rand Paul’s 5 most controversial beliefs, which lists: 1) “Government shouldn’t require private businesses to serve customers of all races”; 2) “The U.S. is secretly planning a European Union-style merger with Mexico and Canada” (“it’s one of their long term goals to have one sort of borderless, mass continent”); 3) “Our national security is not threatened by Iran having one nuclear weapon”; 4) “Medicare is socialized medicine”; and 5) “Mountaintop coal mining is good for real estate values.” Also see Rand Paul may not be a racist, but he is an extremist; Rand Paul’s dopey science: How Ebola and climate change exposed a quack; Victim of Rand Paul’s Goon Squad Attack Speaks Out; Rand Paul: “My Goal Is To Make DeMint Look Like a Moderate”; Rand Paul Pushes Conspiracy Theory that Obamacare ‘Databanks’ Gather Information on Gun Owners; Rand Paul Raising Money for Right-of-NRA Gun Group; and Rand Paul’s Travels with Birthers, among many other examples of Rand Paul’s extremism, conspiracy theorizing, etc. Clearly, this guy didn’t fall far from the Ron Paul tree…

Oh, and for Rand Paul’s latest looniness, see Ron Paul and Rand Paul have crazy things to say about Ebola (e.g., Rand Paul is “an ‘Ebola Truther’ because he suggested that, contrary to established medical science, Ebola can be transmitted through the air”). Yep, this was the loony-tunes extremist who was rallying with “Enron Ed” Gillespie (and also the super-far-right Teahadist Dave Brat) yesterday. Any further questions, other than exactly when you’re going to go vote for Mark Warner?
