With Democrats lining up to take on Rep. Barbara Comstock (R-VA 10) next year, yesterday she was busy doing what she’s best at doing — absolutely nothing. In this case, “absolutely nothing” is defined as presiding briefly over a U.S. House of Representatives on another lengthy recess, having accomplished basically nothing in the first 100 days of the Orange Gropenfuhrer’s presidency-from-hell. The main thing is for Democrats to nominate the strongest possible candidate to beat her next year. Current announced Democratic candidates are State Senator Jennifer Wexton, Dan Helmer, Lindsey Davis Stover and Kimberly Adams, while Fairfax County Board member Kathy Smith and Virginia First Lady Dorothy McAuliffe (she now says she is “very seriously considering it”).
P.S. In fairness, Comstock doesn’t exactly do nothing; she does manage to find time to vote 100% with Trump and to flee a parade in Manassas. LOL
