Video: VA GOP Chair Says At Least “Three or Four Additional Candidates” in Addition to Corey Stewart for U.S. Senate Next Year

Earlier this afternoon, Virginia GOP Chair John Whitbeck stated unequivocally on The Politics Hour with Kojo Nnamdi and Tom Sherwood (see video snippet below) that neo-Confederate Corey Stewart would NOT be the only Republican candidate for U.S. Senate against Tim Kaine in 2018. Whitbeck said there would be “three or four additional candidates who will be announcing” – Del. Nick Freitas (R-Culpeper), former “Extreme Team” member EW Jackson, UVA Professor John Norton Moore and Ivan Raiklin. Personally, as a political blogger, I’m greatly looking forward to this race, as it should help to yet again clarify how extreme and anti-worker, anti-middle-class, anti-environment, anti-clean-energy, etc. etc. the Virginia GOP – and the Republican Party more broadly – has become these days (the latest reminder: check out what’s going down in the U.S. Senate today).  With that, check out the snippet from The Politics Hour…
