Video: Gov. McAuliffe and Gov.-Elect Northam Speak to VA Dems at the Governor’s Mansion

Thanks to DPVA 1st Vice Chair Gaylene Kanoyton for the excellent video (see below) from this evening’s speeches to Virginia Democrats (in town for party meetings this weekend) by Gov. Terry McAuliffe and Gov.-elect Ralph Northam at the Governor’s mansion. Of course, it’s no secret that I’ve got…uh, mixed feelings about both McAuliffe and Northam. Nonetheless, I’m thrilled that we aren’t getting ready for the inauguration of Governor Ed Gillespie (gack!) – or Lt. Governor Jill Vogel (double gack!) or Attorney General John Adams (just no). I’m also cautiously optimistic about Northam, especially given the huge gains Democrats made in the House of Delegates. But, of course we’ll see what happens…while of course fighting to make sure Gov. Northam is as progressive and pro-environment as possible.
