Video: Live Feed of Ralph Northam’s Inauguration as 73rd Governor of Virginia

I supported Tom Perriello in the Democratic gubernatorial primary nonetheless, I sincerely wish Ralph Northam the best as he takes the keys to the Virginia Governor’s mansion (and also to Justin Fairfax and Mark Herring as they are sworn in as LG and AG). I have a long wish list of stuff I’d love to see get done, of course, including Medicaid expansion, a massive increase in clean energy, cancellation of Dominion’s proposed fracked-gas pipelines, ethics reform (e.g., reining in Dominion big time), making it a lot easier for Virginians to vote, expanding women’s reproductive freedom, pushing back against Trump’s craziness, staunchly opposing oil drilling off Virginia’s coast, taking strong action against man-made climate chaos, pushing for better teacher pay and funding for education generally, etc, etc. But for now, I’m mostly just going to enjoy the pomp and ceremony – from the comfort of my warm house – and listen to what everyone has to say. Oh yeah, and I’m going to savor – one more time – our enormous victories this past November, while reminding everyone that we absolutely MUST keep this momentum going in November 2018 and beyond.
