New TV Ad Blasts Congressman Scott Taylor For Voting To Undermine The Affordable Care Act As Virginians Face Rising Health Insurance Premiums
Six-Figure Ad Campaign Comes As Virginians Face Rising Premiums As A Result Of Republican Sabotage

Norfolk, VA — In response to rising health care premiums across the Commonwealth, the Virginia-based For Our Families grassroots coalition launched a new television ad highlighting the rising costs of health care premiums due to Republican sabotage of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) by Congressman Scott Taylor (VA-02) and his congressional allies. The ad comes as new polling shows that 66 percent of voters view protecting those with pre-existing conditions as a critical issue in 2018.

The 30-second spot, “Sabotage”, calls on Congressman Scott Taylor to stop his efforts to sabotage the health care system that so many hardworking Virginia families rely on, and to support policies that do not put wealthy corporate interests ahead of the needs of working Virginians. The six-figure ad buy that will air in the Hampton Roads market comes as Virginians experience increased costs for individual market premiums that are expected to rise by an additional $1,312 in 2019.

“Congressman Taylor promised us lower prices for better care when he voted to dismantle the Affordable Care Act, but we’ve only seen higher costs, making health care less affordable and overstretching family budgets,” said For Our Families campaign spokeswoman Tory Brown. “Scott Taylor must listen to his constituents and put an end to his sabotage.”

The new ad, “Sabotage”, can be viewed here.
