Here are a few national and Virginia news headlines, political and otherwise, for Friday, September 21. Also, check out the following video of last night’s U.S. Senate forum at Liberty “University” (using that word loosely), in which Tim Kaine did a great job as he always does (despite heavily biased questions, such as why he didn’t vote for extreme anti-immigrant bills, about the – supposedly – “many historical monuments being destroyed,” and best of all, “your party clearly has a litmus test against pro-life appointments…”) while Corey Stewart was crazy and extreme as he always is. For instance, neo-Confederate Corey said he wants Roe v Wade repealed, defended his “bunch of crap” comment about Brett Kavanaugh’s sexual assault accuser, made a bizarre comment about how “we’re protecting our money with guns and our kids with signs” (as part of an argument for arming teachers, getting rid of “gun-free zones,” etc.), falsely claimed the U.S. is experiencing the highest growth since 1950 and also falsely credited that to Trump (of course!), argued that private individuals/businesses should be allowed to discriminate against LGBT people, as long as it’s not the government, etc, etc. In short, the guy’s batshit crazy and deserves to get ZERO votes on November 6.
