Donald Trump, Four Years Ago Today: “Send Conservative Barbara Comstock to Congress”
LEESBURG – Though Barbara Comstock’s ads refer to her as an “independent voice” in Congress, her record of voting with Trump 98 percent of the time tells a different story. Comstock’s support for the Trump agenda echoes Trump’s support for her candidacy as expressed in an endorsement four years ago today:
In the years after Trump threw his support to Comstock, she justified his words by voting to repeal the Affordable Care Act in its entirety, as well as voting to sabotage numerous parts of the law, on her way to compiling a deeply conservative voting record. Trump, meanwhile, is still using the politics of fear to divide Americans, just as he did throughout the ebola crisis, with few objections from Republicans like Barbara Comstock.
