Ricardy Anderson Wins Mason District Dems Endorsement for Fairfax County School Board

I’m really happy to see another one of the candidates I endorsed – Ricardy Anderson for Mason District member of the Fairfax County School Board – winning the Democratic endorsement last night (by a 120-93 vote). Yet again, just as with Karl Frisch and Jung Byun in Providence district, this time there were two excellent candidates…really couldn’t lose either way!  Anyway, congratulations to Ricardy Anderson, who is going to be a great new member of the Fairfax County School Board. Meanwhile, Republicans are busy endorsing a slate of far-right candidates who have no business being anywhere near a school board, and also calling Karl Frisch “radical left wing” and complaining that “groups like…the LBGTQ community and the teachers unions came out in full force to nominate him.” Appalling as usual from Republicans…

Thank you Mason District Democratic Committee!

I am incredibly honored to be the Democratic candidate for Fairfax County School Board in Mason District this November. I am immensely grateful for the help and support of so many people who made last night’s win possible.

I want to thank my family, especially my husband Scott and our children for their unwavering support and encouragement – my biggest cheerleaders. Of course, I want to send a special shout-out to our enthusiastic, amazing campaign team for all of their hard work, and to the democratic leaders and organizations who endorsed our campaign. I also want to thank Jessica Swanson for running a great race and for her service to Mason District.

Most importantly, I am thankful to the Mason Dems for your confidence in our message. I am appreciative of our supporters who were able to vote last night also and send my gratitude to those who were not able to be there in person, but supported in so many ways–we did it. Onward to November!
