It’s good to see an increasing number of celebrities and 2020 Democratic presidential candidates coming to Virginia to campaign for Democrats. The latest: according to the Fredericksburg Free Lance-Star:
Alec Baldwin, the actor known for roles in TV’s “30 Rock” and movies such as “The Hunt for Red October” and “The Departed,” will be in Virginia on Oct. 22 to canvass for Democratic Virginia candidates.
[…]
Baldwin will be in Chesterfield County to support Amanda Pohl, candidate for Virginia Senate District 11; Fredericksburg for Joshua Cole, candidate for Virginia House District 28, and Qasim Rashid, candidate for Virginia Senate District 28; and Fairfax County for Dan Helmer, candidate for Virginia House District 40.
In addition to his acting work, including his brilliant portrayal of Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live, Baldwin is also a political activist who “endorsed Barack Obama in his two presidential campaigns,” who “serves on the board of People for the American Way” and “is an animal rights activist,” among other things. Good to see him coming to Virginia to help Democrats win back the legislature in 19 days. Now, on my wish list, I’d love to see President Obama and/or Michelle Obama pay us a visit before November 5th! 🙂
