- In terms of small-dollar donations (in absolute dollar amount), the top 15 House of Delegates candidates are all Democrats, as are the top 11 State Senate candidates. Sensing a pattern here?
- For donations from individuals (again, in absolute dollar amount), 17 of the top 21 House of Delegates candidates are Democrats, with 12 out of the top 16 Senate candidates also Democrats. Again, sensing a pattern?
- So where do Republicans get their money? Check out the “Business Donors” graphs (yet again, in absolute dollar amount), where Republicans dominate — 9 of the top 11 House of Delegates candidates in this category are Republicans, with 9 of the top 14 Senate candidates also Republicans.
