In late April, Sen. Tim Kaine announced his “Everybody’s the Graduation Speaker” video contest, in which Kaine announced:

“With many in-person graduations likely to be postponed or canceled due to the coronavirus, Kaine is encouraging Virginia’s graduating high school seniors to submit a video of an original speech they would like to give at graduation. Kaine will select speeches to feature on his Facebook page and website during May and June to celebrate the graduates.”

Now, the results are coming in, and they are very impressive! See below for the excellent graduation speeches by Valeria Vargas of Patriot High School in Nokesville (Prince William County); Jamori of Louisa County High School; Melissa from Blacksburg High School; Yasmine from Bethel High School in Hampton; Anna from Tuscarora High School in Leesburg; and Deamoni from Colonial Heights High School. Congratulations to these graduating seniors, and to the rest of the historic Class of 2020!
