See below for video from tonight’s Richmond Mayoral debate at Virginia Union University, with the debate moderated by former Governor L. Douglas Wilder and 8News anchor Juan Conde. The five candidates, from left to right on the state, are: Alexsis Rodgers, Kim Gray, Justin Griffin, Tracey McLean and Mayor Levar Stoney.

According to this article a few days ago, McLean “has not gained…traction in the race,” while Griffin is “very much of a long,” meaning that the race is mostly between the other three: Rodgers (“the most progressive candidate” – very impressive tonight, by the way), Gray (“She is kind of a complicated figure. In some ways she is a conservative, she’s been defending property rights and criticizing protesters and in other ways a progressive”) and Stoney (“favored to win…the incumbent, he has a lot of money, the top [D]emocratic officials in the state have lined up behind him and those are big advantages…If Mayor Stoney loses this year it will probably be in response to the protests”).

With that, here’s video of the debate. Also, feel free to weigh in regarding who you support – and why. Thanks.
