So, at this point (1/4), in Virginia we’re at 367,536 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 18,387 hospitalizations and 5,132 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went up 3,771 (+1.0%) in the latest statistics, which is a slower rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 5,010 (+1.4%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 77 (+0.4%), which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 70 (+0.4%). Deaths are reported +8, compared to +7 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 4,383,477 (up 17,997 from yesterday).
