So, at this point (1/2), in Virginia we’re at 358,755 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 18,240 hospitalizations and 5,117 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went up 3,989 (+1.1%) in the latest statistics, which is a slower rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 5,182 (+1.5%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 74 (+0.4%), which is a slower rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 125 (+0.7%). Deaths are reported +36, compared to +49 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 4,337,939 (up 46,619 from yesterday).
