Thursday (4/1) Virginia Data on COVID-19 Finds +1,825 Confirmed/Probable Cases (to 620,801), +81 Hospitalizations (to 26,536), +16 Deaths (to 10,268)

See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (4/1), in Virginia we’re at 620,801 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 26,536 hospitalizations and 10,268 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went to 1,825 (+0.3%) in the latest statistics, which is a slightly faster rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 1,035 (+0.2%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 81 (+0.3%), which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 88 (+0.3%).  Deaths are reported +16 compared to +10 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 6,503,356 (up 21,163 from yesterday).
