Friday (7/9) Virginia Data on COVID-19: Hospitalizations, New COVID Cases At Lowest Levels Since March 2020

However...seeing some uptick (partly b/c of "delta?"), with the highest 10-day new cases total since 6/6/21

See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (7/9) in Virginia we’re at 682,147 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 30,737 hospitalizations and 11,448 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases was 257 (+0.04%) in the latest statistics, compared to yesterday’s 291 (+0.04%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 31 (+0.10%), compared to yesterday’s +40 (+0.13%).  Deaths are reported +7 compared to +5 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 7,766,974 (up 9,932 from yesterday).
