Monday (7/19) Virginia Data on COVID-19: Still Relatively Low, But…Highest 10-Day New COVID Cases (+3,338) Since 5/30

See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (7/19) in Virginia we’re at 685,485 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 30,977 hospitalizations and 11,483 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases was +986 (+0.14%) in the latest statistics, compared to FRIDAY’s +445 (+0.07%). [NOTE: VDH isn’t updating on the weekends anymore, for whatever reasons] As for hospitalizations, they went up 41 (+0.13%), compared to FRIDAY’s +19 (+0.06%).  Deaths are reported +6 compared to +6 on Friday. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 7,853,439 (up 24,081 from FRIDAY).
