From AG Mark Herring’s campaign:
Two Weeks Until the Virginia Attorney General Debate: Here’s Today’s Unanswered Question for Republican Candidate Jason Miyares
Richmond, VA — With two weeks to go until Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring and Rep. Jason Miyares meet for their second debate ahead of the Virginia elections this November, it’s time that Miyares answers some pressing and unanswered questions about his record and what he’s stayed silent on throughout his campaign.
Today, we’re asking: Does Jason Miyares Stand With Donald Trump asking Arizona’s Republican Attorney General Mark Brnovich to Investigate the 2020 Election?
Last week, following Maricopa County’s release of their dangerous election “audit” report — that still confirmed Biden’s victory — former President Donald Trump directly called on Arizona Attorney General Brnovich to continue his Big Lie through a criminal investigation. Miyares has close ties to Trump and has supported him and his positions in the past begging the question:
Would Jason Miyares allow this election sham to continue — and if not, why didn’t he condemn Trump’s actions on Friday? He celebrated Trump’s victory in 2016, supported him on multiple occasions, and closely aligned with and praised Trump appointees.
For someone who has repeatedly aligned themselves with Donald Trump and his positions, would Miyares also stand with him and his dangerous ask to investigate the 2020 election, forfeiting the rule of law to pander to a dangerous, far-right political agenda? Virginians deserve to know.
