Video: Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA11) Says DoJ, Courts Are Taking Too Long; It’s Time for Congress to Enforce Its Own Subpoenas Re: 1/6 Insurrection

Until 1930, Congress would send the "sergeant arms or its equivalent and [arrest] people and [detain] them until they cooperated"

Like many of us, Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA11) is baffled and unhappy that, with regard to the 1/6 insurrectionists and coup plotters, “the Justice Dept. takes too long and I think the courts take too long.” As Rep. Connolly said last night on MSNBC, “We need to be getting things done in real time. People died because of the conspiracy that these people were involved in to overturn the election.” So…does anyone know what the hell Merrick Garland’s DoJ is doing – or why they are NOT doing it?!? And sure, it’s very important to get the “Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal” and “Build Back Better” done, but the bottom line is that if we don’t save our democracy, it’s all going to be moot…
