As 2021 Comes to a Close, Virginia Sets Records for 1-Day (+17,618) and 10-Day (+90,383) COVID Case Increases

See below for the latest COVID-19 statistics for Virginia, courtesy of the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA). As you can see, total cases hit 1,118,518, up a whopping 17,618 since the Thursday morning report – the highest one-day increase since the pandemic began – and up a massive 90,383 over the past 10 days – by far the highest 10-day increase since the pandemic began. As for hospitalizations, according to VDH, we’re now at a cumulative 41,862, up 270 from the Thursday morning statistics. And deaths are at 15,587, up 22 from the Thursday morning statistics.
