The bravery of the Ukrainian People and their courageous President is inspiring.

As Putin threatens to kill not only Zelenskyy but to mass murder soldiers’ families…as Putin makes plans for new concentration camps to murder “undesirables” like gay people, Muslims, and Jews, Ukrainians remain steadfast and strong against impossible odds. They have seen this movie before. Too many times.

Zelenskyy is particularly impressive. I wouldn’t blame him if he set up a Government in Exile, as happened during WWII. But he stays and fights alongside his fellow Ukrainians in Kyiv.
Generations of Ukrainians have fought both the German Nazis and the Russian Nazis. Today they fight the Fascist Russian Army which, without provocation, has invaded and occupied their peaceful democracy, for no reason other than the Ukrainians’ wish to live in freedom — and the threat that freedom poses to the Russian dictator.

There are good Russians too, who risk their own lives to protest their evil dictator. Thousands have been arrested in just a couple of days. What incredible bravery. Would you risk your life to protest?

Nor do I think the average Russian conscript wants to commit the mass murder of Ukrainian men, women, and children that Putin will demand. I don’t think the Russian conscripts are willing to be as cruel against their Slavic brothers as the German Nazis were in the 1940’s

Patriotic Russians should put their arms down and fight for freedom, both in Ukraine and in Russia.

As for the Nazi Russians that sadistically follow orders to massacre civillians, they must — to a one — be prosecuted for war crimes.

We must do our part, too. Please call your member of Congress and support maximum arms to Ukraine and maximum sanctions against Russia. You may not think your voice matters, but we must do everything we can to stop Putin’s genocidal aims before he invades the Baltic States and plunges all of us into World War III.

Never Again.

Let’s keep the promise.

The whole world is watching. This is no time to hold back. We must cut Russia off and do everything we can to tank their economy, until the Russian people rise up on their own to stop this cruel war.

I hope Americans cherish our 250-year-old democracy 1/10 as much as the Ukrainians who are willing to die for their 7 years of freedom.

It is inspiring.

It is worth fighting for.

And may government of the people, by the people, and for the people never perish from this earth.
