Del. Sally Hudson Explains Why Talking About Virginia’s Budget “Surplus” Makes Little Sense Given “how far behind we are on basic needs”

Sally Hudson, who explains that, before we get into “what Virginia will do with our budget ‘surplus’,” we need to “remember how far behind we are on basic needs,” and that we DEFINITELY shouldn’t “call it a ‘surplus’ when the state is sued by both the Feds & local govt for not making good on what we owe our residents.” It’s like if you just didn’t pay your bills, then dishonestly bragged to everybody about how much money you were “saving.”
