Republicans Gear Up To Strip Millions Of Americans Health Care If They Take The Majority In November, Rekindling Conversations Of Repealing The Affordable Care Act

Richmond, VA – Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson made it clear this week that one of the first things Republicans will do if they gain back power is strip millions of Americans of their health care, and just like we’ve seen before, Virginia Republicans will fall in line to help them do it.

Time and time again, Virginia Republicans like Ben ClineMorgan Griffith, and Rob Wittman have lined up to eviscerate our healthcare system by voting and advocating to repeal the Affordable Care Act. And, if given the opportunity, they’ll surely attempt to do it again.

“This is just another crystal clear example of why we can not allow the Republicans to take control of Congress this November,” said DPVA Chairwoman Susan Swecker. “It is imperative that we fully support our Virginia Democrats who have helped lead the charge to protect the health care of countless Virginians. The COVID-19 pandemic has reaffirmed how crucial it is to invest in our healthcare system, and it would be an incredible disservice to the people of Virginia to allow Virginia Republicans to roll back this incredibly important legislation.”
