Video: Former Rep. Riggleman (R-VA05), Who Voted with Trump 91.9% of the Time, Now Says GOP a Trump “Personality Cult” More than a Party, with Belief Systems No “real conservative can follow” Anymore

Speaking on CNN a few minutes ago (see video, below), former Rep. Denver Riggleman (R-VA05) – who, by the way, was a VERY conservative member of Congress who voted 91.9% of the time with Trump – agreed with Rep. Liz Cheney that the Republican Party has become more “a personality cult” than a party. Former Rep. Riggleman also said that the Republican Party “left me some time ago, I don’t…the party has moved away from conservative principles to this cult of personality that Liz Cheney is talking about, she’s absolutely correct…when you see the data...it’s absolutely stunning that cult of personality but also the belief systems that I don’t think any real conservative can follow at any point, it’s absolutely insane what people have sort of put their arms around…’Stop the Steal’…the vaccination conspiracy theories…a lot of that has been pushed by people around [Trump]…people who support [Trump]…[it’s] absolutely shocking and there’s no way I can continue in that vein.”
