Extremist Yesli Vega Flips Again!
Richmond, VA – Today, the Democratic Party of Virginia released a new video spotlighting Yesli Vega’s last-ditch effort to resurrect her failing campaign: kissing the ring of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy after telling voters for months she would not vote for McCarthy for Speaker of the House.
“I would not vote for Kevin McCarthy, and this is why: Weak Republicans that have put roadblock after roadblock to stop President Trump’s agenda,” said Vega at a GOP Forum on April 20th, 2022.
A few moments later: But in a recent article, Vega completely flipped on her opposition to Kevin McCarthy, writing in a statement to POLITICO: “Leader McCarthy has worked very hard to unify our party and build a massive operation to take back the majority. He has earned my support in this effort.”
“Yesli Vega will do whatever it takes to try to get elected,” said DPVA Spokesperson Gianni Snidle. “First she scraped Trump’s name from her Twitter bio after months of proclaiming him the ‘best president’ of her lifetime. Now she says she would vote for Kevin McCarthy after months of denouncing him. The only thing Virginians can trust Vega to do is impose an extreme agenda that includes banning abortion without exceptions, defunding law enforcement, raising prescription drug prices for our seniors, and shutting down the federal government.”
