See below for video from NBC News, which reports, “During a Q&A at Arizona State University, Rep. Liz Cheney urged voters against voting for the Republican nominee for governor Kari Lake and Mark Finchem, the GOP nominee for secretary of state, saying, ‘We cannot be in a position where we elect people who will not fundamentally uphold the sanctity of elections.‘” Rep. Cheney, a conservative Republican, also specifically called out Gov. Glenn Youngkin, saying that he should “not come here and campaign for Kari Lake,” who of course is an election denier, an enemy of democracy, and an all-around extremist/nutjob. Unfortunately, based on Youngkin’s behavior to date, he almost certainly won’t heed Cheney’s wise advice, but instead will follow through with his plans to campaign for a dangerous candidate who believes abortion is “the ultimate sin,” the 2020 election was stolen, COVID vaccines are dangerous, etc. Disgraceful.
