Ladies and gentlemen, meet Dale Sturdifen, your new, Youngkin-appointed member of the VA Board of Education!
First, as much as I’m not a fan of “Axios,” check this out:
Sturdifen wrote in the 2021 post. “There is no separation between God and State or God and Nation.”
…”This follows a pattern of appointing people who don’t support the laws or constitutional rules they are charged with implementing,” said Sen. Scott Surovell, one of several Democrats to express concern about Sturdifen’s appointment Wednesday.
So obviously, this is completely bonkers, false, extreme, etc. – and should be an automatic disqualifier for being on any school board, let alone the Virginia Board of Education!
Next, yesterday’s Blue Virginia post:
As reporter Ben Paviour points out, “In social media posts, Sturdifen has denied the separation of church and state, questioned the sincerity of 2020 racial justice protestors and spoken out against Gavin Grimm.” Sounds like this guy will fit right in with Youngkin’s many other horrendous picks for boards and commissions.
And then there’s this:
And this:
The VA State Senate needs to exercise its prerogatives and reject this nominee, ASAP.
